PES C9L3 in Tekong

PES C BMT is really different from everybody else. In just 4 weeks, we will leave Tekong and head to Sembawang Camp. Hence, life in Tekong was really fast-paced. Nevertheless, we still did our 2 weeks confinement period. To be honest, I see myself as going to a prison. No Internet (Our batch was the last batch to not have it) No washing machine Waking up at 5am. Sharing room with 15 other guys, not knowing whether they will gang up and make your life miserable. Hahaha, I am beginning to sound like the very strawberry generation that Generation X spoke of. These fears are real to me though. What I did in Tekong: (061114-051214) 1st day - Issuing of army stuff, trying on clothes, uniform etc. 2nd day - Intro to 5BX, lectures 3rd day - Aerobic walk (PES C can't run), walking Captain Ball 4th day - Foot drill and aerobic walk 5th day - Vaccination and weapon presentation 6th day - CPR and AED training 7th day - Weapon and IFC lectures 8th day - Technical Handling 9th day - MO talk and Basic Protection Knowledge and Foot Drill 10th day - Aerobic Walk and Basic Security Knowledge 11th day - Aerobic walk, walking Captain Ball, iLBV preparation and Grenade Lecture 12th day - Distance accuracy course with dummy grenade 13th day - Individual Marksman Training 14th day - Live Grenade Throw 15th day - Aerobic walk, walking Captain Ball, photo taking, Individual Field Craft Lecture, Field camp preparation 16th day - Aerobic walk, Anti-drug, community chest and SAFRA talk (FIRST BOOK OUT!!!!) 19th day - PTP 20th day - PTP 21th day - Field camp preparation, Fire Drill 22th day - Individual Field Craft 23th day - Individual Field Craft (BOOK OUT!!!) 24th day - Singapore Discovery Centre Visit 26th day - Field Camp Day 1 27th day - Field Camp Day 2, Urban ops, weapon cleaning, judgmental shoot lecture 28th day - Judgemental shoot, aerobic walk, walking captain ball, rifle cleaning 29th day - Talks and rifle cleaning 30th day - Out-processing to STC (Sembawang Camp) TO be honest, I goofed up a lot when I was in Tekong. Perhaps, I was unprepared in the mind that when I changed into a new environment, I could not stop feeling sick. Literally, my face turned white. I have caring bunk mates and sergeants. Overall, I like my experience in Tekong but if given a chance, I would not want to have it again...
